I’m Bud Hodson, a ‘small batch’ studio potter working out of a minute studio based at The Honiton Pottery Workshop in Devon. I also teach one-to-one workshops there – a recent testimonial below received following a workshop :
“Thank you so much for yesterday. That was a fabulous pottery workshop. Such fun! You are such a good teacher and so encouraging. All three of us felt it was the best workshop we have ever been on and we were amazed at the quality and quantity of items we produced in the time. Thank you for making ****’s 60th birthday gift so memorable and special. I look forward to collecting our creations when they are ready”
I have noticed recently that most West Country artists state “I am inspired by the countryside and sea, nature …… ” However, I’m really sorry, and I apologise in advance, but my stoneware glazes really ARE inspired by the countryside, moors and the sea and there’s nothing else I can say! very unoriginal.
I am endlessly changing my ‘style’ and therefore if you see something you particularly like, let me know quickly because there probably won’t be another one like it for a good while! Please take time to look at all my work – and please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
I produce tableware and also small sculptures, mainly of birds. I accept commissions, as long as you don’t have a short timeline (I panic!)
Please subscribe to receive my posts first – I promise I won’t bombard you!
